Women Development Cell
The Women Development Cell (WDC) at CKRM College of Teacher Education is an active and dedicated body focused on empowering women, promoting gender equality, and addressing issues related to women’s rights and well-being. The WDC works towards creating a supportive environment for female students, faculty, and staff, ensuring that they have equal opportunities for growth and development.
Key Objectives and Activities
Awareness Programs: The WDC organizes workshops, seminars, and lectures on topics such as women’s rights, gender equality, self-defense, and health and wellness. These programs aim to educate and empower women to be aware of their rights and to take charge of their personal and professional lives.
Counseling and Support: The cell provides counseling services to women who may need guidance or support in dealing with personal, academic, or professional challenges. It also serves as a safe space for women to discuss any concerns or issues they may face.
Skill Development: The WDC conducts training sessions and workshops on various skills, such as leadership, communication, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy, to help women become more self-reliant and confident in their abilities.
Advocacy and Outreach: The cell advocates for gender-sensitive policies and practices within the college and engages in outreach activities that promote women’s empowerment in the broader community.
Celebration of Women’s Achievements: The WDC organizes events to celebrate the achievements of women, both within the college and in society at large, to inspire and motivate others.
